Modal verb SHOULD AND SHOULDN'T

Should is a modal verb.  It is used to make recommendations or give advice.   It can also be used to express obligation as well as expectation. When we use should in a sentence, it gives the meaning of “It’s a good idea”.


You SHOULDN'T means something like I think it is a bad idea for you to do it.

For Example:

I think you should drink much water. (Creo que deberías beber más agua)

You shouldn’t drink alcohol. (No deberías beber alcohol.)
